1776 Pepper Sauce started in 2023 when our founder, George Hunt, grew so many peppers, that he couldn't can them all. He started experimenting with different pepper combinations for the perfect pepper sauce. George made many sample batches and gave away bottles to friends and family for feedback. Our first three flavors are different combinations of jalapenos and ghost peppers. Our fourth flavor uses cayenne peppers. While the process and recipes were getting tested, reviewed, and approved, George got his kitchen inspected and approved by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Since then, 1776 Pepper Sauce has been available at local farmer's markets and shops in the Richmond and Tidewater areas.
At 1776 Pepper Sauce, we believe that the best pepper sauce comes from the best ingredients. That's why we grow every pepper that goes into every bottle of 1776 Pepper Sauce in our own gardens. We believe that by using high-quality ingredients, we can create the best possible products for our customers.
All of our pepper sauces are made in small batches to ensure that they are of the highest quality. This allows us to pay close attention to every detail and make any necessary adjustments along the way. We believe that small batch production is the key to creating exceptional specialty foods.
